Well, yesterday I got the official entry form for the Colorado state fair. And am planning on entering a piece that I've been working on for the last week or two. I know, not much time has passed since I started the drawing. And I still have some work to do on it. But so far I really like how it looks.
I've drawn six of the eight characters in the picture so far. And the only thing that's keeping me from adding those last two characters, is one, Sagara Naraku. I'm having trouble with him because of many reasons.
1: I can't decide WHERE in the picture he should be drawn, and it's harder to find that space thanks to Olgan's huge blade, Lotas.
2: He's one of the few characters who's hair is STILL in the process of "evolution". I just changed his eye style so that he looks more mysterious, And I thought I'd give him a more tamed. Sort of geled back hair style, as opposed to his original spiked up hair.

Ok so I only have one or two problems with Sagara right now... it's still pretty annoying that one single character that I've been drawing for a while now, has decided to give me trouble at a time of prosperity. I'll just have to draw him over, and over, and over, and over, and over again, until I finally settle for a style that suits him best.
And once I do, I can add Shusei Hayami. And then I'll ink it in, making it perminant.
After that I'll copy it. Then I'll color in the picture, and copy it again.

Once I copy the portrait I'll frame the copy, keeping the original for myself. And then it's off to Pueblo, to enter it in the State fair. And after that I'll probablly post both the sketch, and colored versions of the picture on Deviantart.
But until then I still gotta' work on it some more.
